On behalf of
CREON Energy, I am delighted to invite you to take part in the Lithium 2023 Conference, which will be
held in Moscow on October 10.
Over recent
years, the world has been infected by a lithium fever. Lithium is being labeled
the “oil of the 21st century”, meaning that its production is
accompanied by the intensive development of innovative sectors of the economy.
Over the past 10 years, the production of this metal has quadrupled, and the
price in the past two years has grown even faster than production volumes.
There is
currently no lithium mining in Russia, so production is based on the processing
of imported raw materials. However, the launch of projects at the Kolmozerskoye
and Polmostundrovskoye deposits of lithium-containing ores has already been
announced.
By 2030,
lithium production at the Kolmozerskoye deposit alone can reach 45-50 thousand
tons. This will allow for covering domestic consumption in full, and also for
exporting excess volumes. At the same time, other companies also declare their
ability to engage in the production of lithium. The export topic becomes more
and more acute: who is the customer, what is the destination, and what are the conditions?
Thus at this
moment, lithium production in Russia is an interesting and relevant topic for
discussion by the expert community. The rules in the lithium market, the vector
of further development, the roadmap for the industry, – this is what we suggest
to be discussed along with many other issues at our dedicated Conference.
