Dear Colleagues!
CREON Energy has the pleasure of inviting you to the International «Greenhouse 2016» Conference, which is held at Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow on April 22.
The food import ban against the EU, US and some other countries introduced by the Russian government has opened up new opportunities for the local greenhouse business. This implies meeting the demand connected with possible growth of agricultural production inside the country. At the moment, Russia produces only 35% of consumed vegetables and herbs, which is an extremely low share. Local companies are quite capable of increasing their production volumes. However, this would require about 500 hectares of new greenhouses put in operation every year.
The Ministry of Agriculture has announced the target of building 1,500 ha of greenhouses in different regions of the country by 2020. Agricultural producers will be subsidized by the Ministry: support will be given to cover the cost of investment loans and 25% of capital expenditure. As a result, many agricultural holdings are announcing the plans to build new greenhouse facilities. Are these plans realistic, and will the projects be implemented? How will the existing greenhouses based on outdated technologies and equipment continue to develop and operate? These are the questions raised by the industry, and the «Greenhouse 2016» Conference is designed to address them.
The following topics will be also discussed at the forthcoming conference:
In order to discuss important trends in the greenhouse business, to exchange views and experience, we invite representatives of agricultural holdings and greenhouse farms, Russian and international design and construction companies, suppliers of technology and equipment, producers of fertilizers and plant protection products, seed companies, and financial institutions.
